The educational councils are the associations created to organize the functioning of the educational community, in accordance with the Organic Law of Education and Resolution No. 058 of the Ministry of Popular Power for Education. The educational council is, therefore, the instance of citizen participation in every center of the subsystem of basic education, integrated by the levels of initial education, primary education and secondary education.
Who is it?
The educational council consists of parents, representatives, managers, students, teachers, workers and administrative workers, workers and workers of educational institutions, from initial education to general secondary education and technical media and all modalities of the subsystem of basic education. The natural and legal persons, spokespersons and spokespersons of the different community organizations linked to educational institutions may also be part of the educational community.
Who can create the educational council?
The initiative to create the educational council can come from any of the subjects that participate directly in the education imparted by the educational center.
How to register an educational council?
1.- It is necessary that on the day of the school assembly where the spokespersons of the educational council are chosen, an act was drawn up to collect the incidents of the event, the number of attendees, the postulates, the voting numbers and the decisions taken .
2.- A commission of spokespersons that is in charge of the registry of the council must be chosen. They will elaborate another act where they are established the chosen ones, their data, the period that will face and the signature of some witnesses.
3.- With these documents and the copy of the certificate of each one of the registry managers, the group should go to the Unique Box Office of the Educational Zone of their state. There they will certify the minutes and validate the educational council with each one of its committees.
4.- This certification must be considered within a maximum period of 45 days after the extraordinary assembly where the group was selected.
5.- The registration can also be made in the municipalities or school districts of the areas that are very distant to the headquarters of the Educational Zone that corresponds to them.
6.- It is another option to do the procedure in the Civil Registry of the locality, but this applies, only if in the place has not established an entity attached to the Ministry of Education and it is impossible to go to the Educational Zone in charge.
7.- With the certification of the charter and the educational council is legal, therefore can obtain an RIF and open a bank account to house the income from the self-management of the school to which they correspond.
